Pain therapy: accredited seminar was organised by the University of Kragujevac, Faculty of Medical Sciences on 25 January 2020.

Topics:

  • Introducing students to the basic principles of treating mild, moderate and severe pain
  • Introducing students to the basic principles of treatment of acute and chronic pain
  • Introducing the participants to the indications, contraindications and side effects in the administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, paracetamol and opioids
  • Introducing participants to the principles of adjuvant therapy and cannabinoids in the treatment of pain
  • Introducing the participants to the influence of genetic predisposition on the effectiveness and safety of analgesic therapy
  • Introducing the participants to the importance of a personalized approach to pain management
  • Introducing the participants to the methods of physical treatment in the treatment of pain
  • Introducing the participants to alternative methods of pain treatment: acupuncture, homeotherapy
  • Education of the participants with the emergency procedures used in pain therapy
  • Education of participants with pharmacoeconomic principles in the treatment of pain
